Who are we?

Cal Gabriel is a rural accommodation and restaurant located in the town of Tuixent, within the Natural Park of Cadí – Moixeró.

We are in the town of Tuixent. Our unbeatable location allows us to enjoy extraordinary views of the mountain, and the environment that surrounds us.

We have 4 double rooms, all with their own private bathroom. Our guests have an outdoor area, called era, where they can enjoy the views, the clean air and the silence that our surroundings provide.

In Cal Farragetes we have 2 double rooms, 2 quadruple rooms and 1 triple room, also all equipped with private bathroom. Here we have a garden with plants and trees characteristic of the area.

We also have an indoor common area with board games, bookcase, laptop and a couple of armchairs; relaxing is easy in such an environment.

The restaurant is open to both our staying customers and people from outside the house. In it you can enjoy our gastronomy and the local products with which we work. All paired with a selection of wines to match our dishes. A taste for your senses.

Our facilities are designed for your rest. Double rooms with memory foam mattresses, central heating 24 hours a day, duvets, wireless internet access, personal hygiene products, hairdryer, towels and sheets.

Both indoor and outdoor common areas to rest, have a cold or hot drink, have an aperitif, feel the silence, read a book of yours or from our library, play our board games, or simply observe your surroundings. You choose how you want to disconnect.

Our story goes back to 2012, when we decided we wanted to make a change of direction, leaving the big city aside and starting a personal project of life in the mountains.

We have always liked rural tourism, living close to nature, contact with the countryside and proximity to people.

From this desire for change, and from this passion for rural tourism, the Cal Gabriel project arose. We want you to enjoy with us this love for nature, for the rural environment that surrounds us, for the local cuisine that we offer you, and for the feeling that you are at home. Our project is based on respect, esteem and closeness.

And with this motivation for a job well done, in 2020 our neighbors Josep and Irene offered us the possibility to continue with their Cal Farragetes project, hence from June 2020 we are expanding our offer of rooms with the addition of 5 more units. The Cal Gabriel family is growing!
